I took my first yoga class in high school at a local gym and instantly fell in love. My desire to keep returning to the classes was unlike no other.

I began to notice the profound effects this practice had on my mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual body. And I also began to realize how much joy and acceptance it brought into my life.

I later found that this practice also had a deep sense of community and depth I had been longing for. I was inspired by so many amazing leaders I met along the way, that made me believe this is something I could also do. The calling to begin my journey of teaching was deep, something I couldn't ignore.

My favorite part of teaching is being able to bring others a sense of joy, empowerment, and inspiration from the practice of yoga. Guiding others to move their bodies, connect to breath, and be in community is something I cherish. My wish is that people come to class open to learning new things, having fun, and they leave feeling empowered to move through their life with confidence and strength.

I started practicing yoga to increase my flexibility for various performing arts activities I did as a teen. I discovered it as a true physical practice of its own, offering way more than just flexibility, as I moved into adulthood and learned to use it as a tool to ground myself.

I find my yoga practice to be multidimensional - it helped me stay focused and clear headed as I worked my way through college, it's taught me to be confident and balanced in my professional life, and now it's teaching me to a be a mindful and patient parent.

I started teaching yoga in 2016 along with obtaining my MA in Wellness and Lifestyle Management.

I teach yoga to share the gift of movement and mindfulness. I encourage my classes to see a yoga mat as a place where they can challenge themself, explore, be creative, and find the stillness they so desperately need in a busy life. It fills me with so much joy to help people find their calm.

I was a philosophy major in college and studied the Bhagavad Gita as recommended reading for an Eastern Philosophy class. My campus offered a weekly yoga class, and once I started attending, I was hooked! That was 14 years ago, and I've been practicing yoga philosophy and movement since.

I practice yoga for its profound impact on my mental health, the somatic benefits it offers, and the overall lightness it brings to my mind and emotions. It's not just a thing I do; yoga has become a natural part of who I am and how I move through life.

I took my first training with the intention of deepening my own personal practice, I was at a standstill in my emotional healing, but I realized quickly that I had a natural skill for guiding others. I knew that I could help others by leaning into this strength and that it would support me, too. A real win-win!

Witnessing the transformative shifts in people during our time together is my favorite aspect of teaching. After class, there's a noticeable ease in the room, reflected in smiles and lightness of movements. Observing this momentary change and the long-term growth of those I connect with regularly is a privilege that brings me great joy.

Yoga has helped my body and mind heal, creating balance for me both mentally and emotionally, and I have been way stronger in every way since. I wish that for others who come to yoga.

In the classes I teach, I aspire for people to connect deeper to one's body, fostering not only physical strength and mobility, but also a profound appreciation for its capabilities. I want to live in a world where we all feel strong and empowered, and I hope that my classes can play some part in helping to create that world.

I took my first yoga class on my 30th birthday, I just wanted to try something new. My first class a hot yoga class, I was challenged but really liked it and kept going.

I practice yoga because it is great exercise for my body, but it also gives me profound mental clarity. The self awareness that I have developed from yoga has been life changing.  I’ve become more in tune with my physical body, my thoughts and my emotions. This practice has taught me to love myself, just as I am, and to be confident in who I am and everything that I do.

When I get on my mat, a calmness comes over me. I get to be soft. strong, weak, sensual, clumsy, focused, uncertain, confident, balanced and sometimes off balance! It all works together and the beauty of that is I GET TO BE ALL OF IT! I don’t have to pick and choose.

The people I meet, the relationships I hav formed and community that I have become a part of, has made my yoga practice a true blessing. This practice can be life altering if you allow it. I always say if you can create it in your mind you can create it in your physical body. If you can create if in your body you can create it outwardly within your life.

I enjoy teaching yoga because it is an act of service for me. I love being able to help people move their bodies in new ways and create shapes that they once thought was not possible. I love seeing the individuality in each person, each body. I love being able to encourage and inspire people to try new things while also reminding them that their journey is very personal and is exactly how is should be.

My wish is that people step on their mats with an open mind and open heart. That every little step counts, both in their minds and bodies, and can make a huge difference in their lives. And remember, just flow and let it go!
